"God's
Love Rained Down"
by
Virginia Norman
God's
love rained down that
starlit night.
It shone on a stable
with heavenly light.
It shone in a Baby so
very small
On a bed of hay in a
manger stall.
It shone in the hearts
of the parents that
night
And seemed to make the
darkness bright.
An
angel appeared in a
blinding light.
God's love rained down
on the shepherds that
night.
He told them "Good
News! You need not
fear!"
The Savior they longed
for was finally here.
"Glory to God,
Peace on earth."
They said.
He would be found in a
manger bed.
God's
love rained down on wise
men three
Who traversed many miles
this King to see.
The star led their way
through the desert land.
As they traveled far
from their distant land.
They found the Child,
holy and true
And gave Him their
worship that was His
due.
God's
love rains on each of us
every day
As we follow our Lord
every step of the way.
It shines in our hearts
with a pure clear light,
Gives us strength and
joy in the darkness of
night.
It shines bright and
clear when God prompts
us to give
To those who have little
that they too, may live.
It
shines most of all when
we share God's love.
This love He so
graciously gave from
above.
God's love rains down
and our heart lift in
song
To praise the Lord Jesus
our whole lives long.
For He is our Savior,
Redeemer and King.
He is Lord of our
hearts, whose praised we
sing!
"But
you, o
Bethlehem...
from you shall
come
forth for me one
who
is to rule...
Micah 5;2 |
