Appearance and Reality
Reference Point Jesus apprehended and called me in the 1930's, I have never found or does it exist in Him, the capacity to hate another human being. Without question, "God is Love". He has revealed His quality of love, completely, in His Son 'Jesus'. He so loved corruptible Mankind that He gave His only begotten Son to redeem us. I can not find any hate in Jesus who asked forgiveness for His murderers while the nails are still pinning Him to the Cross. If our goal is to love mankind any less than this, we are liars, have never known Him, and the truth is not in us. God is love and He, by nature, must love absolutely. Although true, this is sometimes hard to handle. It does not jade or eliminate the necessity for jurisprudence and the verdicts of criminal justice. This creates the ultimate oxymoron, Jesus, full of grace and tender mercies, had a hate-love with Mankind. In that He is omnipotent and love absolutely then, His 'hatred' had to be absolute. It is required to know Him as 'love' necessitates that I know 'what it is' that He loathes. Don Murphy Read: Admonition "what Is it?" part 1
Hebrews 5:12-14 "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the Oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the Word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." The word 'evil' appears for the first time in the second chapter of Genesis. Here evil is incorporated within the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and embraces every nuance of sin and tragedy peculiar to Mankind. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a mixture and is not of the Lord's planting. It is the root cause of the fall of Man through disobedience. Jesus teaches, Matt. 13:35 "I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world." The enemy who sowed the tares is the devil. Our Father will not allow mixture in His kingdom. Was this tree to be known and understood? Yes!! By discernment and not by imbibing in it. Heb. 5:14 Solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The evil in this tree embraces adversity, affliction, displeasure, sorrow, wretchedness and death. In Job 1:6 When the Sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, Satan was among them. He was allowed to test Job with limitations. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was allowed in the Garden, under seal. It represents the consolidation of the Mystery of Iniquity, the mixing of good and evil. This tree containing all the above abominations sets the site that makes Man unique and a decision maker in his own destiny. This tree was not a contaminate in the perfect garden. This tree was sealed and only Man could break the seal. You might go through a spotlessly clean sterile laboratory where containers of bacteria are stored. The contents are sealed, completely harmless and cannot be classified as a plague or disease. They must be released and find and organism to host them. The breaking of the seal by Man, in the Garden of Eden, unleashed death in an organism created to be biologically perfect, deathless through perpetuation of Life. Matt. 15:13 " Every plant which My Heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted." By the same token, "every plant, He has planted, will abide." Gal. 5:19-21 "The results of the tree of death." are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries. The Scripture gives us this long list to emphasis the subtleties of the working of the mystery of iniquity. A reminder that Jesus not only overcame evil, but exposed and defined it. Likewise, in juxtaposition, with an impassable gulf between, the Tree of Life and the tree of death the results are listed in Galatians 5. Gal.5:22,23 "The fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." Also, a long list, reminding us of the complete definitive victory of Jesus, our Savior, over the tree of death, in His Birth, Walk, Cross and Resurrection. It was written, before, of Him, Isaiah 7:14 " Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His Name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good." In Hebrews 5:14 the comparison between 'good and evil' is associated with nourishment and spiritual growth. Here the word 'evil' characterizes all that is 'worthless'. We can, occasionally, eat 'junk food' without immediate repercussions. However, if we perceive 'junk food' to be 'health food' and make it our daily diet: the results are malnutrition. By the same token, when we feed on the worthless and call it the work of the Holy Spirit we suffer stunted growth and ultimately a fatal result. It is a travesty of the Cross and fatal conclusion to perceive the 'worthless' to be the work of The Holy Spirit. We are not called to wrestle with flesh and blood or to attack people. However, we have a mandate, from the Throne of God, to discern the good from the worthless. The Psalmist cried, " Why do the nations rage, And the People imagine a vain (worthless) thing?" Recently there was a promotional telethon designed to get people out of debt. They were promised, by pledging a substantial amount, their debts would be dissolved within three months. They were promised any prayer request, attached to their tax free, gift would be answered. At the bottom of the screen were four, high percentage, credit cards they could use to make their pledge and be delivered from the spirit of poverty. There was overwhelming response, the result was called, a miracle. This does not qualify to be called a miracle. Within days two other separate groups used the same, financially successful, promotion dubbing it as miraculous. Matt.24:5 " Many shall come in My Name." marginal reading, "trading upon My Name." Tread lightly when you use the word "Gift" in connection with the Name of our Lord. Gifts to or from the Lord are not predicated on remuneration. A Gift has no purchasing power. Beware of manipulating the Word of God to make it compatible with the tax code. If you are going to sell a product, then sell it. If you are going to barter and trade, then barter and trade. Eph. 6:11 "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (schemings) of the devil." There is a concentrated effort to undermine and diminish the meaning of the word 'gift' God forbid that we, ignorantly, assist lucifer. " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." Resident in Him, an abundance of gifts are extended to us. Romans 11:29 "For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance" (irrevocable). This establishes what takes place between the giver, the gift and the recipient, an irrevocable exchange. There is no way a gift can purchase anything, it would no longer be a gift, it would be a price. The Father gave His Son to the World; He went to the cross and paid the price for our redemption. The cross is not a gift, it is a purchase price. The victory of the cross is a gift. This gift is freely extended to the filthiest most degenerate of mankind. This is Grace, unmerited favor. Receive the Gift, it is freely given! He is not for sale and nothing in Him is for sale. Jesus asked, " Can the blind lead the blind? Will They not both fall into the ditch?" The religious cliché of today is, "This is where it is, the anointing just came on me, this building is anointed, this book is anointed, this program is anointed, this offering is anointed." In reality, the anointing and the Holy Spirit are synonymous. The Holy Spirit did not come to play hide and seek. The Table of the Lord is not spread with little material items that we barter and trade for. John 7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying " If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink." "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow Rivers of Living Water." This He spoke concerning the Spirit, Whom those believing in Him would receive." Here, before Pentecost, Jesus announces to His People He will make the Source of His Life Resident Within them. So that it could be written, Eph.1:22 " And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be Head over all things to the Church, which is His Body, the Fullness of Him who fills all in all." You may experience a measure, but you possess the fullness.
There are two ways you can have a measure. If I go to a reservoir and
bring you a glass of water you have a measure of the source until I
return to the reservoir and bring another glass. How much of today's religious phenomena is predicated upon the pseudo serving bits and pieces of divinity in an entertaining atmosphere?? 1John 2:27 " But the Anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you' but as the same Anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you. You Will Abide in Him. Christ dwells in our hearts by faith. The Holy Spirit is longsuffering and gracious. He blesses us in levels of understanding that we would not tolerate in our dealings with fellow humans. However, He yearns to deliver us from the perception that the Anointing of His Spirit is like the visitation of a bouncing ball. In Reality He is omnipresent in every fiber of His Temple. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you ?" "But we have this Treasure in earthen vessels."
